Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 08 April 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") applies to services provided by CareerDrift and forms part of the terms applicable to clients purchasing CareerDrift programs.

CareerDrift provides personalized career and job-search support. Because these services involve work undertaken specifically for each client, refund eligibility is determined according to the applicable program terms, the time elapsed from payment, the services delivered, and the circumstances covered by this Policy.

1. Scope of Services

CareerDrift offers different programs with different levels and scopes of service. The services applicable to a client are determined by the specific program purchased and the scope communicated to the client at or before the time of purchase.

Services mentioned in this Policy are not intended to imply that every service is included in every CareerDrift program.

Depending on the program purchased, CareerDrift's services may include:

  • Resume development and optimization
  • LinkedIn profile optimization
  • Naukri profile optimization
  • Job search and job application support
  • Job tracking and management
  • Referral outreach and follow-ups
  • Interview preparation and related backend support
  • Weekly syncs and progress discussions
  • Career-search strategy and positioning
  • Ongoing coordination and backend management throughout the job-search process

The specific services, deliverables, and scope applicable to each client will be determined by the program purchased and the scope communicated to the client at or before the time of purchase. Services listed above that are not included in the purchased program or agreed scope will not be considered part of CareerDrift's committed services.

2. CareerDrift's Service Commitment

CareerDrift is committed to providing the services included in the client's purchased program and agreed scope.

The timely and effective delivery of these services depends, in part, on the client's timely cooperation, responsiveness, availability, and provision of accurate and complete information and documents.

CareerDrift will not be responsible for delays, limitations, or inability to perform a service to the extent that they are caused by the client's failure to provide required information, delayed responses, missed scheduled interactions, changes in requirements, or other client-dependent factors.

This service commitment relates to the delivery of the agreed career and job-search support services. It does not constitute a guarantee of any employment outcome, including interviews, selections, offers, salary increases, or a particular hiring timeline.

3. Refund Period

The refund period begins from the date of payment.

The 30-day and 60-day periods referred to in this Policy are calendar days.

4. 24-Hour Cancellation

A client may request a 100% refund within 24 hours of making payment, provided that no part of the service or any deliverable has been shared or delivered to the client.

This provision applies to both Career Catalyst and Career Autopilot.

For the purposes of this section, delivery includes any client-facing work product or service output, such as:

  • A resume draft
  • A target-profile resume
  • LinkedIn profile work
  • Naukri profile work
  • A job-search deliverable
  • Any other agreed service output

If any part of the service or any deliverable has been shared or delivered to the client within the first 24 hours, the refund request will be handled under the applicable refund provisions for the relevant program.

5. Career Catalyst

Career Catalyst is non-refundable after the 24-hour cancellation period, except where a refund or other remedy is required under applicable law.

6. Career Autopilot

Within 30 Calendar Days

For an eligible client-requested cancellation made after the 24-hour cancellation period and within the first 30 calendar days:

70% of the amount actually paid for Career Autopilot will be refundable, subject to applicable deductions expressly permitted under this Policy.

The remaining 30% is retained in consideration of the services and work undertaken during this stage of the program.

Between 31 and 60 Calendar Days

For an eligible client-requested cancellation made between day 31 and day 60:

30% of the amount actually paid for Career Autopilot will be refundable, subject to applicable deductions expressly permitted under this Policy.

The remaining 70% is retained in consideration of the services and work undertaken during this stage of the program.

After 60 Calendar Days

After 60 calendar days from the date of payment, no contractual refund is available under the standard client-cancellation framework, except where a refund or other remedy is required under applicable law or under the provisions relating to CareerDrift's material non-performance or termination without client fault.

7. Additional Target-Profile Work

CareerDrift may tailor a client's resume according to relevant job descriptions as part of the agreed service.

No deduction will be made for ordinary JD-based resume tailoring.

However, where a client wishes to simultaneously target multiple distinct career profiles, additional positioning and resume work may be required.

For example, a client may wish to separately target:

  • Frontend Developer
  • Backend Developer
  • Full Stack Developer

Where separate target-profile versions are created for distinct career profiles, the applicable amount for that additional work may be deducted from an otherwise applicable refund.

The applicable charge for such additional target-profile work will be communicated to the client and may vary based on the scope of work.

8. Refund Review

Refund requests will be reviewed according to the applicable refund framework in this Policy.

The review may consider:

  • The stage of the program
  • Services already delivered
  • Work already undertaken
  • Additional target-profile work completed
  • Job applications already submitted
  • Referral outreach and follow-ups already undertaken
  • Interview preparation and backend support already provided
  • Weekly syncs and discussions already conducted
  • Job tracking and other backend work completed
  • The client's responsiveness and cooperation
  • Whether accurate and complete information was provided
  • Whether the client provided sufficient clarity regarding target roles and requirements
  • Attendance at scheduled calls and meetings
  • Delays caused by the client's non-responsiveness or failure to provide required information

The review determines the application of the refund framework and any specific deductions expressly permitted under this Policy. It does not give CareerDrift an unrestricted right to arbitrarily change the stated refund percentages.

CareerDrift may communicate with the client during the review to clarify the circumstances of the request and seek an appropriate resolution.

9. Client Responsibilities

Clients are expected to actively cooperate with CareerDrift throughout the program, including by:

  • Providing accurate and complete information
  • Providing required documents and details in a timely manner
  • Clearly communicating target roles and preferences
  • Responding to reasonable requests from the CareerDrift team
  • Attending scheduled calls and weekly syncs
  • Cooperating with the team during service delivery
  • Informing CareerDrift of significant changes to career goals, location, notice period, salary expectations, or other relevant circumstances

Client-caused delays or non-cooperation will not automatically extend the applicable refund period.

10. Changes in Career Direction

CareerDrift's work is based on the client's agreed target roles and career direction.

If a client substantially changes their target role, industry, experience positioning, or career direction after work has been delivered, additional work may be required.

Such changes do not automatically create an entitlement to a refund. Additional work outside the agreed scope may be discussed separately with the client.

11. No Guarantee of Employment Outcomes

CareerDrift provides job-search support and backend services designed to help candidates conduct a more structured and strategic job search.

However, hiring decisions are made by employers and other third parties and are not solely within CareerDrift's control.

Accordingly, CareerDrift does not guarantee:

  • Interviews
  • Job selections
  • Job offers
  • Salary increases
  • A specific hiring timeline
  • A specific number of interview calls

unless a separate, specific written guarantee has expressly been provided for a particular service or program.

The absence of an interview, selection, offer, or salary increase, by itself, does not constitute an automatic entitlement to a refund.

12. Third-Party Services and Subscriptions

Any subscription, premium membership, payment, or service purchased directly by the client from a third-party platform is separate from CareerDrift's service fees.

For example, any LinkedIn Premium subscription purchased by the client is the client's responsibility.

Third-party subscription or service charges are not included in CareerDrift's program fee and are not part of the refund calculation.

13. Client Termination

A client may request termination of the Career Autopilot program at any point.

Where the client requests termination, the applicable refund will be determined according to the refund framework and applicable provisions of this Policy based on the date of the request.

Termination by the client does not automatically result in a full refund.

14. CareerDrift Termination or Suspension

CareerDrift may suspend or terminate services where reasonably necessary, including in circumstances involving:

  • Repeated or prolonged non-cooperation
  • Unreasonable or abusive behaviour towards the CareerDrift team
  • Fraudulent, misleading, or materially inaccurate information
  • Failure to make required payments
  • Other circumstances that make continued provision of the service unreasonable or impracticable

Termination Without Client Fault

If CareerDrift terminates a program for a reason not attributable to the client's conduct, non-cooperation, breach of applicable terms, or failure to make required payments, CareerDrift will provide a fair and proportionate refund for the agreed services that remain undelivered, subject to applicable law.

The refund will take into account the services already delivered, work already undertaken, and the portion of the agreed services that remains undelivered.

Material Failure to Deliver Services

If a client believes that CareerDrift has materially failed to deliver an agreed service, the client should raise the concern through the CareerDrift support or grievance channel.

CareerDrift will review the concern and, where reasonably possible, will be given an opportunity to address or rectify the issue.

If CareerDrift is unable to reasonably rectify a material failure to deliver an agreed service, the client may be eligible for a fair and proportionate refund relating to the materially undelivered service, subject to the circumstances and applicable law.

The standard time-based refund framework for client-requested cancellation does not limit a client's rights where a refund or other remedy is required due to CareerDrift's material failure to deliver agreed services.

15. How to Submit a Refund Request

Refund requests should be submitted by email to: connect@careerdrift.in

The request should include:

  • Full name
  • Registered email address and/or phone number
  • Program purchased
  • Date of payment
  • Reason for requesting the refund
  • Any relevant information the client would like CareerDrift to consider

Refund requests submitted through other communication channels may be directed to email so that the request can be formally recorded and reviewed.

16. Refund Review Timeline

CareerDrift will review a refund request within 5–7 Working Days from the date the required information has been received.

During the review, CareerDrift may communicate with the client to clarify the request, services delivered, and other relevant circumstances.

For this Policy, a Working Day means Monday through Friday, excluding applicable public holidays.

The 30-day and 60-day refund periods are calculated using calendar days, not Working Days.

17. Refund Processing

Once the applicable refund amount has been reviewed and approved, CareerDrift will initiate the approved refund within 3 Working Days from the date of approval through the applicable payment method.

The time taken for the refunded amount to reflect in the client's bank account may vary depending on the bank, payment gateway, card issuer, or other financial institution involved.

CareerDrift is not responsible for delays caused by such third-party financial institutions after the refund has been initiated.

18. Grievance Redressal

Grievance Officer: Anupriya Singh

Email: anupriya@careerdrift.in

Refund requests should continue to be submitted to connect@careerdrift.in as specified in Section 15.

CareerDrift will address grievances in accordance with applicable law and applicable grievance-redressal requirements.

19. Privacy and Confidentiality

CareerDrift may collect and process information provided by clients for the purpose of delivering its services.

Such information may include resumes, contact information, employment history, educational information, career preferences, job-search information, and other information reasonably required to provide the services.

CareerDrift will handle client information in accordance with applicable law and appropriate confidentiality and data-protection practices.

CareerDrift will not use or disclose client information for purposes unrelated to service delivery except with the client's consent or where permitted or required by applicable law.

20. Force Majeure

CareerDrift will not be responsible for delays or inability to perform services to the extent caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including significant technical failures, internet or platform outages, natural disasters, government restrictions, widespread infrastructure disruptions, or other events that could not reasonably have been prevented or anticipated.

This provision does not limit any rights available to clients under applicable law.

21. Dispute Resolution

CareerDrift and the client will first attempt to resolve any dispute or concern through good-faith communication.

Where appropriate, the parties may mutually agree to mediation or another mutually acceptable dispute-resolution process.

Nothing in this Policy prevents a client from exercising any statutory rights or remedies available under applicable law.

22. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.

Subject to applicable law and any statutory jurisdiction available to a consumer, disputes relating to this Policy may be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts or authorities in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.

Nothing in this clause is intended to restrict or exclude any jurisdiction or remedy that a consumer is entitled to under applicable consumer-protection laws.

23. Severability

If any provision of this Policy is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a competent authority, that provision will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

The remaining provisions will continue to remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.

24. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or override any rights, remedies, protections, or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable law.

Where applicable law provides a consumer with rights or remedies that are more favourable than the terms of this Policy, those statutory rights will continue to apply.

25. Policy Amendments

CareerDrift may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its services, business practices, or applicable legal requirements.

The version applicable to a client's purchase will generally be the version communicated or made available at the time of purchase, subject to applicable law.

26. Acceptance

By purchasing a CareerDrift program, the client acknowledges that they have had an opportunity to review this Refund & Cancellation Policy and agrees to the terms applicable to the purchased program, subject to the client's rights under applicable law.
